Well I just got my RMA today for the Innocase II for EVO. It looks like the difference is that the areas that don't have the felt on it aren't plastic anymore, or the plastic is covered up. The unprotected areas without the felt now seem to have a more rubberized feeling like the outer part of the case.

I purchased some felt today, thinking I would need it, even with the update. I am now unsure if I should use it or not. Anyone else using the new update for the case with the rubberized inner? How is it working so far for you? Any scratches? Would you put the felt in anyways?

I agree, this new one fits a lot tighter. I just got mine yesterday and am giving it a little bit of time before I vouch for it though.

I bet what they did was coat the inside with the same coating they were previously using on the outside so as to add a small amount of additional thickness, thus making a more snug fit. Is the inside black still or is it now the same color as the outside?

Did you add felt or are you trying it as is? I bought the felt, but I am still unsure if I should add it or not now, especially it does feel more secure.

It is the same color as the outside. It sounds like you are right about them adding the same coating as the outside.

how about the issues with collecting lint and dust where the case and phone meet? is that also solved with the revised case? I was thinking of getting the active case instead, but I like the thinness of the innocase (maybe get the rugged so I can have extra protection if I need it.)

Just trying it as is.

Day #2 it's still tight as it was yesterday. I honestly didn't spend that much time examining it. I just took the old one off and put the new one on.

New Rubberized Inside For Innocase II Confirmed

I have been speaking with Jack Yang, marketing coordinator for Seidio, and the Innocase Surface II now has a rubberized lining. This is a confirmed change that is permanent to all further Innocase II production. If you have a prior case without rubberized lining I suggest you get in contact with Seidio and get an exchange. I was suppose to get the new rubberized lining in my 2nd replacement, but their shipping department failed to ship the new version last week. Jack Yang asked me to pass this information forward to all of you and hopes for your continued support of Seidio. I am very impressed with their choice to listen to us customers and make this change. I hard plastic shell with a more rubberized liner is far superior to plastic on plastic. Good job Seidio and time for some new reviews of the Innocase II!

Thank you for the update. Looks like I need to contact Siedio.

Can't hurt to at least get yours replaced with a rubberized liner :) Who knows, some people may still not be impressed but it beats the plastic on plastic issue. I will post my thoughts once I get my replacement from them this week.

I am currently sporting the "tape inside the case method"...so it definitely can't hurt.

i've said it a million times but the Seidio ACTIVE case is awesome.

My concern with going with the active case is the additional thickness. The Innocase II already adds a significant thickness to the device. I don't think I want anything bulkier than this.

Since I have had 3 replacements done I am getting the Innocase ACTIVE shipped to me also in addition to the rubberized inner Innocase II. I will luckily get to try them both out :) Was going to just have the Active shipped and I definitely looked forward to it, but when Seidio realized I was not shipped the rubberized inner case last week they decided to ship me both! Will be nice having a 2 cases for different scenarios :)

See there are advantages to being an early adopter and having issues. Yeah you had to jump through hoops with shipping and stuff but you're getting two cases now.

we are talking mm here. i hate bulk too but the Active is not bulky at all. fits in front pocket of jeans and suit jacket inside breast pocket very nicely and invisibly with no bulk.

That explains a lot. I read all of those reviews saying the case was too loose, but the one I got fit very snug. Guess I was lucky.
