Just replaced digitizer... Dead areas now?!

Hey everyone,

I just replaced my Atrix 4G digitizer after it being broken for 5 or 6 months now. Everything worked fine before, but now that I installed the new one I have a dead spot so I can not hit 'h' when in Portriat mode. And in the screen testers that I have found(suggestions welcomed!) I seem to have a dead spot right on the 'h' and all above and below that column I have to press REALLY hard to get a straight arrow drawn.. If anyone has ANY suggestions please let me know! Either a calibration tool, or something.. I installed it properly according to the video I found.. The lcd did seem to have a smudge spot when I opened it. But it was there before..

Recheck all of the push connections on the motherboard. I had the same issue and found that one of the ribbon cable connectors was not fully seated. I'm sorry I don't remember which one. Be sure and confirm that all of the ribbon cables are fully inserted in their connectors. Also check the triangle shaped (sort of) copper looking connector that is glued to the motherboard. It's under the IMEI label. Make sure it is fastened correctly. There are so many small connectors in the phone that is easy to misalign or partially connect them.
