now what rom do you guys recommend?

I saw there was:
1. stock 2.2 + root
2. stock 2.2 + root +with removed bloatware
3. superclean 2.9.2
4. superfrankenclean 2.9.2

also what is the difference between superclean and superfrankenclean?

I recommend you do this. http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...tom-roms-w-root-clockwork-updated-3-25-a.html DX put together a great easy to follow Odin package. Just make sure to thank him and everyone else! I also recommend you read and read and read some more. until you r comfortable with doing this. This package will take you to 2.9.2 superclean which in my opinion is the best. It is without all the bloat and runs great.

oh yeah that is the post i am basing my queries off of, except my point 4 which i found on another sticky thread (specifically for superclean). thanks for the advise

one last question, i am assuming the 2.9.2 superclean version in DX thread is the non voodoo version? am i correct?

Correct I stay away from voodoo like the plague. Some people like it. I just think its not worth it.

Good luck let me to know what happens! Im sure you will have no problems, Just make sure if coming from stock eclair to go 2.9 with full data wipe. than flash 2.9.2. Should be golden Froyo goodness

i have no idea what a full data wipe is and i am coming from 2.1. what i did was install the stock 2.2 (number 2 in my original post) and then went to superclean. either way, it was really easy and nothing to fear!]
