Just rooted and huge lag

I just rooted my Droid eris and ever since then my phone has a huge lag. Every time i text my phone is like 2 or 3 words behind what Im typing. Also just normal programs on the phone lag to.

Why is this happening and how do I fix it??

did you wipe or just flashed?

I really dont know that much about it, but i followed a youtube video that had me drop a file called PBOOIMG.zip on to the flash drive

in section III did you do this?
4. Go to Wipe, and do a wipe of data/factory reset, as well as dalvik-cache wipe.

just curious howd you get it fixed? mine is so behind. i check a text message and 10 seconds later i hear the alert and get a notification. and the phone also its like playing catch up.

turns out it had nothing to do with the root i had a program that overlocked the cpu and that was all screwed which slowed down the phone i didn't need to wipe the phone
