Hello, I am new to the forum and new to the HTC Thunderbolt. I just finished rooting my phone and followed the instructions step by step. Everything appeared to be fine, once the phone booted back up from the last reboot I even noticed a SuperUser icon in my apps that was never there before. I downloaded and installed the Titanium Backup and then tried to use it and it says it can't grant me access because the phone must be rooted. I am certain this phone is rooted, I went to marketplace and noticed a SuperUser Fix app. I downloaded and installed it and when running it, it fails on the last two points - Cleanup and Checking Signatures. I then get a message at the top that says Signatures do not match. Fix now? I press Fix Now and it still fails on those last two points. I do have an email in to the developer of that app but was wondering if anyone may know what I can do to resolve my issue.

Thanks in advance

I did install busybox but did NOT hit problem in titanium, should I try that?

Thank you for your reply

I actually had downloaded and installed titanium backup before rooting my phone. I just deleted it and reinstalled it. It appears that it is now working, however when I run that SU Update Fixer app, it still fails on Cleanup and Checking Signatures.

Titanium Backup is green in the Super User app and so is the SU Update Fixer app, but when I run that update fixer app it still fails on Cleanup and Checking Signatures. I am extremely new at this and don't even know if I needed to download the SU Update Fixer app, but now that I have and it fails on those 2 items, i'm worried I've got an issue. Sorry for the panic but thank you for the help.

It said Update Successful during the root process. I feel pretty certain i'm rooted since when I got finished there was a SuperUser Icon in my apps all of the sudden that I never downloaded. I will delete the SU Update Fixer app but how do i find out for sure if i'm rooted?

Downloaded root checker and ran it, the results say Results: Congratulation! You have root access! Is that it? do you think everything is ok?

Titanium Backup is working now, thank you so much. One last question, when i run titanium backup it lists all my apps and all say No Backup Yet under them. Is there a way to just backup all with one touch or do i have to click each one and backup?

Thanks again, I really do appreciate it as i am only 3 days into my android experience, guess i just got a little paranoid there for a minute.

HAHAH, just was about to post that i just figured that out. I ran it and it is backing up now.........WHEW!!!!

Thank you so much!
