kangbang vs. evil fascinate

I didn't have any major issues with Kangbang. I never tried Evil Fascination. I was going to, but went with MiuiWiz instead. They are all good roms, imo. Just depends on prefrence.

Which ROM has better GPS performance? My fascinate cannot for the life of me lock onto a GPS signal, and yes, I did wipe after installing CommROM. I know for certain that it is not a hardware issue. When I fresh installed CommROM, I used GPS Aids to clear and redownload the LTO data... This method worked. Every time my GPS failed to lock on, I followed the aforementioned procedure and afterwards got full and perfect GPS location. The problem, was however, that if I didn't use the GPS for an hour or two, the process needed to be repeated. I was willing to live with this minor thing, as the GPS worked perfectly. Now, however, after a week or two of using CommROM, this method has stopped working, and I can no longer get a lock. So, I know that it is not a hardware issue, as a software tweak used to make it work perfectly. Does anybody have better GPS luck with any other ROM? Thanks!

sounds like a kernel issue. try a differnet kernel. the gps on kb is fanominal. i get a accurate gps lock in about 30 seconds. i dont use any third party gps tools. make sure you all three options checked on in the gps settings.

oh, by accurate, i mean with in 5 feet. my tom tom takes about 5 minutes to lock.

I was using evil fascinate but kept having force close issues and the phone freezing up, using community ROM now and its been working great for me!
