Hi,

should i upgrade to 4.2.1.

I'm not sure if bugs in 4.2 have been fixed like:

- BT Problem (use BT every day so this is a no go)
- Battery / Reboot - Problems

Are you happy with 4.2.1 ? or is 4.1.2 the better choice for my GNEX ?

I am on 4.2.1 and have experienced BT issues but no battery or reboot issues.

If I turn it (and wifi) off to conserve battery, upon turning them both back on my BT connections will drop and not reconnect unless I reboot. I've found that if I keep the BT radio on all the time, it is stable.

unless there is something you really want in 4.2/4.2.1 I would recommend waiting. Apps like Swiftkey, Starbucks, Lightflow all have issues with the 4.2.x upgrades.

So, you may want to wait for the developers to work out the bugs before you upgrade.

I'm looking to maybe go back to 4.1.4 because 4.2 and 4.2.1 on my Galaxy Nexus are both not very good releases. Project butter is completely out the window. A lot more apps have problems with 4.2.x, all of mine take noticeably longer to load and few actually resume from their previous state now.

I am currently on 4.1.2 and i'm still holding back getting to 4.2.1. Managed to get Camera 4.2 apk and Gesture Keyboard 4.2 apk onto 4.1.2 and works great!!

Keep 4.1.2. I wish I did. 4.2 is a downgrade IMO. I may as well reset my phone to ICS.

As gtbarry said - swiftkey does not seem to work well with 4.2 so try dumping it. Since going back to the stock keyboard almost all of my lag issues are gone. Most involved pulling up the keyboard for Google now and messages.
I never did give the jellybean keyboard a fair shake anyway and it's actually OK.

You should keep 4.1.2 and wait until there's a 4.2.2 or 4.2.3 or even 4.2.4. It's pretty annoying to people so far.

4.2.1 sucks!!!!
the lock screen is buggy especially when I have double twist running.
A lot of other apps are unresponsive. Performance is speratic.
If there is a way to revert bact to 4.1 can someone please let me know.
Thanks!

You need to be unlocked, but if you are, you flash the factory images for 4.1 for your phone and a custom recovery. The only thing I am not sure of is whether you will keep getting the notification to update if you do that. If so, I am sure someone has a fix for that.
