Keep getting cannot connect to server when trying to update unlocked Samsung s8 over home wifi

[Android Central Question]

Hello
I check every now and then to see if there's any new updates for my unlocked Samsung s8
Before yesterday I had no problems it would either say your software is up to date or that there were updates to download but now I keep getting cannot connect to server please try later
I always check whilst connected to my home broadband and that's fine
I'm in the UK and my provider is Giffgaff which runs off the O2 network I tried it on my work phone which is a Samsung j3 locked to O2 and that's fine
Is there anything I can do I've tried clearing the cache on the update app but still no joy

You could check if there any updates by using Samsung Smart switch on your PC.
