Keep GNexus alive for whole day, heres how!

Believe me, I have struggled to keep my Nexus alive while using 4G, many methods has failed so I caved in and turned off the 4G to keep my Nexus alive barely more than 8 hours daily. Finally, my brother has told me to install this app called Easy Battery Saver. Boy!! It is EASY and It does keep my Nexus ALIVE for whole day while being on 4G!! I uninstalled the FaceBook app. BIG improvement to battery life. I use a bookmark widget to get FB now.

YMMV... I used it for a week or so... seemed to improve battery life a lot. I would charge before bed, and wake up still at about 97%

But then as soon as I'd wake up my phone, see the 97%, check the time/notifications and turn off the alarm, battery % would drop to about 90% instantly... Didn't seem to better battery life... just hide battery drain from me.

...uninstalled, but thats just me!

+1 on the infomercial thought.
It would be helpful if you included how the app works or achieves these savings. I don't mind turning off things that I am not using but I can't see the logic in having a 4G phone and turning off every feature and service. Here lately I have been leaving everything on full time, wi-fi, push email, bluetooth, and GPS. I make all day but must admit that I plug in every time I get in the car.

forget apps. i use bugless beast and francos.kernel. i can get a full days use with streaming music and messaging and being logged onto skype all day. i used to use apps like juice defender ultimate, but honestly i saw no difference then when not using them. with extremely light use, i can get 12 hours and only 50% battery drain.

Exactly!!!

If one has fb going, widgets pulling data, crappy apps - no matter what you install, bettery will die regardless.

I dont use fb,g+, no widgets, just a few apps i really need and i get easily 12-14 hrs from extended battery. No wifi but always on 4g

To get a full days out a of your nexus dont turn it on. If your screen is more then 5% your battery will die no matter how low you dim it. I gave up on those battery apps. It disable the radios and its painfully slow process to get the signal connected.

i'll let you know how it goes on mine, and post it here. i disabled juice defender, and will give this one a go. it's free, so why not?
