Keeping e-mail messages as new

Probably obvious, but I haven't figured it out. How do you keep an e-mail message as new after viewing it? My android phone has a menu that includes "keep as new," but can't find anything like this on the Nexus Tablet.

Just "check" the email you want to mark as unread and then click the envelope icon to toggle it from read to unread. You can also do the same thing while the email is open for reading... just click the envelope icon and it toggles between read and unread.

Maybe not so obvious. Wondering if you got this info somewhere or if you just knew it? I ask because the on-line manual for the Nexus 7 is not that helpful. I'm hoping there might be another source for info, or maybe someone will come out with one of those "missing manual" or "Nexus for Dummies" books.

That's how it works on my Android phone so I just tried it on the N7 after reading your original post.

Honestly, I would continue to ask question here or in the general discussion forums. The forums are full of people happy to help and any dummies book will only be relevant until the next Gmail app update or Android OS update...

In the Play Books you should have the "full manual" already on device. there is lots of pages.
