Keeping Email on Phone

I just got my Galaxy S4 after switching from an EVO 4g with Sprint. I would like to figure out how to keep my email on my phone after I download with the PC. On the EVO that was an option but here I don't see anything. I often refer back to email on phone long after I've downloaded to PC.

Have you had any feedback on this elsewhere? I'm trying to figure this out as well. There doesn't appear to be a setting in the e-mail application that allows you to determine whether or not you wish to save e-mails on the phone - or at least I haven't found it. As soon as I download the emails to my local Outlook account and delete them from my provider's server, they disappear from the phone.
