Keeping ringtones out of music player

Keep getting tones playing back in between music how do I keep these files from showing up in there?

You have to create a blank file. and name it .nomedia. The easiest way to do this is to open a new word processing document. Leave it blank, but save it as .nomedia. Don't leave the native extension on it, i.e. .nomedia.doc. Make sure to take off the native extension. Copy that file into the folder on your phone where your ringtones are located. You might need to copy the .nomedia file into other folders where you have games located. Sometimes the sound tracks from games will play like your ringtones are now.

Awesome thx for the tip , will this keep it from showing in the system when I choose ringtones though?

Was having trouble getting the no media to work but I figured out that if you put then all in sdcard/media/ they don't show up
