Keeps throwing calls to voicemail

Hey guys I got this for my Dad but even when he has full signal it keeps throwing calls to voice mail, I can't find any option that may have been accidentally hit for it to do this. Is it a known fault with the 5X, or d'you think it could be a sim card issue? Thanks.

I am having similar issue, however, it is appearing to the caller as my phone is off, instead of going to voicemail, (we actually don't use voicemail where I live), while my phone is ON all the time, and I am actually getting SMS notification that I just missed a phone call.

Swapped to my Xperia Z3 and the problem is not happening.

Tried to factory reset but the problem still persists. If you find a solution please let me know.

Otherwise, there might be some faulty units shipped out.

Yeah Dad's getting the text too. Sounds like a proper fault then. That's a real shame, I was incredibly impressed with the phone.

Sure you don't have Do Not Disturb set up for this?

Something like that would only apply if it came as standard, neither myself nor Dad have messed around in the settings. How would I check? Nothings leaped out at me when I've been trying to fix the issue.

I was having the same problem but only after I enabled the advanced calling 1.0 (HD calling) on my verizon account. Took this feature off the account and now all is good. Also I had to remove the basic visual voicemail feature (now getting the old style VM notification). You could also try going into settings/more/cellular networks/and toggle off enhanced 4g LTE mode and see if that makes a difference.

DND is in settings>>>sound and notification screen.

+1 on this. I've had this happen a couple of times since I enabled advanced calling. You have to either recycle the phone or toggle airplane mode to receive calls again. I'm considering turning off the enhanced LTE mode if it continues, but it's the only way to get voice/data at the same time on VZW. It kinda blows that they've crippled the newer phones on their network by forcing this Hobson's choice. I have some faith in them though as VZW, for all their faults, have always done a kick a-- job improving their network.

Sorry for the late reply guys. It seemed to randomly clear up on its own. I'm wondering if it was a sim issue.
