can any kernel run with any rom?

or is each kernel specific to a rom..

what about different radios...

does each radio need a certain type of kernel?

or am i free to flash any kernel i want regardless of rom or radio?

-thanks guys

go to xda and read up there. Everything effects the other. So in short, not everything works with the other. There are GB radios, Froyo radios, same with roms and kernels.

basically for tbolt you have froyo sense kernels, gb sense kernels, and aosp kernels. they are not rom specific, but you would not flash a gb kernel with a froyo rom, or something like that.

this thread covers the radios:
[RADIO] The Obligatory Thunderbolt Radio Thread - xda-developers

you want to use a froyo radio for a froyo rom, and a gb radio for a gb rom. Otherwise you won't get data-voice-gps etc.
