ok. i feel like this is a super dumb question! and i apologize for wasting your time... but i can't find any helpful information about calibrating a droid screen.. i thought i had read a few times on here that calibration was possible and necessary... my hubs has an original Droid and we can't find a way to calibrate, and it's already so slow, the mishaps of the screen, are infuriating.... am i just missing something obvious? or is there another keyboard we could download that has that setting?

anyway. if anyone has any ideas (or totally genius duh moments... ;)) let me know...
and thanks in advance!

I use smart keyboard, and it has a calibration option. Not sure if the stock one has one or not.

Smart keyboard also allows you to add short cuts, like you type in "y" and it'll show up "why".

I've been using swype and love it on my og droid. I don't know anything about calibrating the screen.

I'd suggest resolving the other issues first. Extreme slowness can make the screen/keyboard seem to misbehave when it's really just severely lagging behind.
