Keyboard Color

After the update to Nougat, my Samsung keyboard changed from black to white. I have been through all the settings trying to locate the option to switch back to the black keyboard, but it appears to be gone now.

There is a setting to change the keyboard to change to a high contrast keyboard, but the colors are awfull.

Is there a way to get the black keyboard back? I have downloaded GBoard for this reason, but I liked the stock Samsung keyboard better.

The only way to change the color of the Samsung keyboard, other than what you have done, is to apply a theme.

I like the metallic dark touchwiz (and it's free). All text is readable. Earlier theme I was using (sunset) had text colors that just disappeared into the background.

I am partial to the dark themes as well. Right now I am using Blue Glow, it is a paid theme.

I wish we had more control over the themes though. There is always 1 or 2 small things that I would like to change in a theme I am using.

I tried to sign up to be a theme developer and was denied. They said something to the effect that I did not have enough experience. Hmm, I don't have enough experience so they won't let me sign up, buy how can I get enough experience unless they let me sign up:-(
