keyboard is gone

gonna cut to the chase on this one.....my best friends girlfriend has a Di2 and lost her keyboard, she cant long press on a text area to select input method, holding down the menu button does nothing, cant use handcent or any other messaging replacement app.....any suggestions or solutions

If you're rooted, you should be able to reload the ROM. If not, there's a factory reset (make sure you're contacts are backed up on Google or the SD card), or you could try installing one of the third-party keyboards available in the Market. Haven't seen this problem before, but that sucks. Hope this helps.

Go to settings > keyboard and make sure the box is checked next to the keyboard she uses.

Have you tried a reboot of the device?

I had this happen a few weeks ago. The only way I could get the Keyboard working again was with a Factory Reset.

It's the bug that came with gingerbread a factory reset is needed.
