Keyboard issues after Froyo.

I am new to the Android scene so don't flame me if this has been asked and answered already. I did some searching, but most (if not all) of the time, the OP is using another keyboard (Better, Handcent, etc).

I am using the stock keyboard and ever since the update (actually, started yesterday), sometimes when I go to reply a text, I'm typing, but nothing pops up. Is this because I have too many texts saved? (Speaking of which, is there a way to delete all of the texts at once?) Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated, and I am sorry if once again this has been asked already too many times, but I have done the "similar threads" search.

Thanks.

From the main All Messages screen hit menu>delete>menu>delete all threads.

I have several hundred saved txt mssgs and I'm not experiencing any problems with my keyboard. I mostly use the stock keyboard but use swiftkey from time to time as well. Stock keyboard works as it always has but switfkey has gotten a little laggie since the 2.2 update. Lot's of people have been posting various problems after the 2.2 update and some are reporting that their issues are clearing up after doing a factory reset. If things like the keyboard are wonky after the update and rebooting the phone doesn't clear it up, then you might want to consider doing a factory reset.
