Keyboard jumping

Anybody see the keyboard jumping up then down while unlocking to a message or rotating? Sometimes defaulting to emoticons so you have to click on the back arrow? I'm using the Google keyboard.
 
Have you tried clearing the cache for the keyboard in Settings>Apps?
