Keyboard not always working

[AC Question]

I have a Huawei Ascend Smartphone that has just started giving me issues with the Qwerty keypad. Sometimes it won't show up at all and other times it will show up but won't let me type. It does this for anything that uses the keypad. I have tried restarting it, turning it off and taking the battery out, going into the android assistant and cleaning out the cache, and whatever it can clear out. Sometimes it will help but not for long. The phone is from straight Talk. Not sure which one it is. When I turn it on all it says is Huawei Ascend. Model number is H866C if that helps any. Is running Android version 2.3.6 Any ideas how I can fix this problem?

I don't know if your version of Android is compatible, but can you find Google Keyboard in Play?
