I'm using SwiftKey but every couple of days I get a notification to choose my keyboard input and it won't just let me sweep it away. Is there a way to get it to stop asking for input method? I have it SwiftKey set as default and don't see anything else in settings. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Whenever you're typing something that notification will appear on the notification bar (but it shouldn't pop-up across the screen, it should only be something that you see if you pull down the notification bar). That's just how Android works now (it's been like that since KitKat, I believe). Even if you select SwiftKey as your default keyboard, you will get the option to switch input methods from the notification bar every time you're typing (selecting the default keyboard only means that's the one that will pop up immediately after you start typing).

Only way to get rid of that notification is to have just one keyboard installed. And since you use SwiftKey and the stock keyboard cannot be uninstalled, well...

Could you just stop all notification from Swiftkey app? I don't have Swiftkey insalled on the G4 since the stock one was good enough for me. But when I had it on my Note 2, I stopped all notifications from the app. It kept telling me about my accuracy or efficiency or whatever. I got tired of it and had to shut it up. :p

Dont' think that's the notification the OP is seeing... those are SK notifications are are easily dismissed. The Choose Input Method notification is a system one (not SK-specific) and it cannot be swiped away.
