Keyboard response issues

Hello all

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. When typing a message (SMS, Kik, email etc.) the keyboard will all of a sudden become unresponsive. Some keys will work and others not. If I press the power button for a second to turn the screen off and back on again the keyboard will work just fine. At least for awhile. I have to do this several times if I am writing a long message.

Now, I do have dry skin, but that isn't the issue since doing the quick screen reset will make it work fine. This has happened on two phones so far and it only seems to be when using the keyboard. Selecting apps, scrolling, anything else, works fine. I have tried about five different keyboard apps and they all do the same thing.

I'm ready to ask for yet another one but I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this problem before I spend the time to reconfigure yet another phone.

My roommate has been having major issues with her Inspire. She got a replacement one a couple months ago, but these problems don't seem to go away. She's having the screen responsiveness problem system wide though, on the keyboard, home screens, and in apps. I'm trying to convince her to import a Galaxy Nexus...but that likely isn't gonna happen

I have the same problem. but I noticed that it does it when I rotate my phone during a text msg. I just rotated it back then back again to fix it. Also when I backspace it somehow jumps to "delete msgs" I have no idea about this, but its very irritating
