Keyboard slideaway delay

I just noticed that when I start composing an email or text if I press the home key, the email or text closes, but the keyboard stays on screen for a second or so, then "slides" down and off the screen.

Anyone else experience this delay? Is there a setting to remove this delay?

Yea it happens to me as well. I'm using the stock keyboard.

Known issue

Stock keyboard. I can't believe I did not notice it until now. Looks funny; like the keyboard is last to be given the close command.
