I have swype on my play account and love it on my phone (RAZR) but not so much on my N7. The keyboard is scrunched up. Is there an alternative to swype for the N7?

I use the free Swype Beta on both my phone (HTC Thunderbolt) and my Nexus 7, and love it on both. No scrunched at all - it's huge.

Sorry about the confusion. I meant to put Swiftkey 3, not swype. Do you have any experience running Swift on the Nexus 7?

I tried the free version for a while both on my phone and my Nexus 7. It was nice, but as you say, the keys were too small on the tablet. There is a tablet version, of course, but it's another 4 bucks.

In the end, I decided that 8 bucks for a consistent keyboard between my two devices was a little too steep, and went with Swype Beta (for now - I also bought Thumb Keyboard and Graffiti Pro).

I've thought about the thumb keyboard. Do you like it on a tablet that is so small? I've got it on my xoom and like it, but haven't put too much though into it for a 7". Never heard of Graffiti though. I will have to check it out. Thanks!

I'm not sure I tried Thumb on the Nexus. Swype works so well.

Graffiti Pro is a bit of an oddball. I don't know if you remember the PalmPilot, but it was a device that you would actually write letters on the screen in a special alphabet called "Graffiti". No keyboard. It presents you with a blank touchpad-type input box, you write letters on the left side and numbers on the right side. I used it for a while until I discovered Swype, which basically allows me to do the same thing but with whole words. :)

I use SlideIT keyboard, which is similar to swype.. but upon your correction not what you're looking for, however it's something to try. It's a love/hate relationship but I can't seem to go back to tap.. tap.. tap..

I tried Swiftkey 3 last night on the N7 and the amazon version is broken. Force closes (and I got it for free when it was a free app of the day long ago). I tried the trial version from the play store and they both don't display recommendations when inside an app such as the amazon or play store but displays it in email.

I've got SwiftKey Tablet version and love it. The only problem is that you can't comment on Facebook posts (full site). The return key doesn't add a comment, but moves they cursor one space down. I read on the SwiftKey site that they are aware of this and have a fix in the works.

Once they fix it, I'll definitely be using it again.

Anybody use the Perfect Keyboard? Looks like it has all the bells and whistles.
