Kies Mini update failure, phone not working.

Hello

I recently downloaded the most recent Kies Mini software to update my computer, and I have no other Samsung programs on my PC.

I downloaded it on a Win Vista Business, 2.5GB RAM and overall a decent computer.

When I plugged in my phone, I did not select the "kies software update" option...

Either way, I proceeded with the update, and it downloaded all the binaries and whatnot.

Then, at the progress stage, it stayed at 0% for about 45 minutes (I went to get lunch). When I came back, I sat idle next to the computer and watched some TV. I didn't know that my Laptop was uncharged, and the charger had fallen out. Still at 0%, the computer died.

My phone reads "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."

I did all that, and again it is stuck at 0% for about 45 minutes.

The screen still reads "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again." , and when I tried doing the whole volume-button procedure, nothing changed. What do I do?

EDIT: I closed out of kies, it kept saying "Your device was unreachable, please try again" blah blah.

I need help.

Are you sure that you also installed the correct usb drivers on your PC? That would definitely cause issues like that. I know you have kies installed, but you also have to have the separate drivers installed as well
