I have managed to transfer some of my kindle books onto my galaxy tablet internal storage but they have installed in .SDR format somehow! My question is how do I convert them back into .mobi ?
Many thanks

How did you transfer them? Kindle books are encrypted and the MOBI version isn't usually saved as such. You can always use Calibre on a computer to re-convert the files into MOBI, but if they are purchased books you should be able to re-download them from the Kindle app. However, bear in mind that MOBI is an obsolete format now.

Additional info. Seems like the SDR files aren't the actual books, but just metadata.

Hi thanks for your reply
The books are not from amazon and back in the day I did use calibre at the time to handle them. My mistake they were epub format. I copied them from my kindle into my laptop first then onto my galaxy internal storage where they adopted the SDR format.
