KitKat 4.4.4 Screen Rotation Issue

I noticed a rotation problem after updating to 4.4.4. The screen rotates randomly (probably it just reaches the point where the rotation should happen). But after this unintentional rotation, it doesn't come back to default position till I shake the device twice or thrice. I don't know if this is a problem with the update, but it worked fine until some days back.

Anyone else noticed this?

i used this guide the other day to clear the system cache. it may help your issue, sometimes when things dont function properly, clearing the cache fixes it:

i had some different rotating behaviour, and it seems more sane now.. so worth a try.

I have Galaxy S5. Screen won't rotate since the update to 4.4.4. AT&T has wiped my phone back to 4.4.2 twice to fix. Phone is forcing 4.4.4 upgrade & still won't rotate. No fix available yet. I was told to wait for Android to fix bugs with this update. Apparently it has a lot of bugs.
