Kitkat NFC icon missing on Galaxy S4

Anyone else missing the nfc icon in status bar at top after upgrading to kitkat open firmware even when its turned on

No, I have the NFC icon. But i am missing the Mobile button in the notification drop down menu,...since the 4.3 update. Still don't have it with 4.4..2.
