I don't know, but do anyone have any idea of how the UI for kitkat gonna look? I hope Google go advanced not like Honeycomb I hate it.

Android has been evolving at a fairly deliberate pace, and many authorities feel that the current Jellybean UI has an excellent design language. So my guess is that KitKat will not look radically different, although we should expect some great new features. But given that KitKat will be Android 4.4 (and not 5.0), don't expect a huge quantum leap.

We have had small UI changes. I think we will see some huge ones in 5.0, I mean look at 2.3 compared to 4.0

I sure hope they don't make any drastic changes for 4.4 or 5.0. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Sure, tweaks, improvements but I like Holo flat theme

I also really like the Holo theme, but there are ways for it to be spruced up a bit without changing it too much. I would disagree with the 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' philosophy. If everyone took that seriously, we would all be using candles for light, and riding horses to work everyday.

I was thinking about iOS7 issues when I said that. I never liked Apple products and I would never buy them in any case, but Apple does have a huge following and a LOT of those people do not like iOS7.

I want a big change to the UI. So sick of the black everywhere, everyone bashes iOS 7 for all the white but when used properly white makes for a much cleaner and inviting look

I would say this again. If people need UI changes I would prefer Google bring in theams to Android

Define "properly".....
There's a reason why many are bashing iOS7. Whites make your eyes hurt when you open up your phone at night. I often adjust brightness on my Nexus 7 when I read something at night.
OLED phone also uses a lot less power with blacks.

Anyway, I agree with coldjeanz. If anything, there should be a theme option... not hardcoded.

The problem I think with iOS 7 is it's just literally white everywhere with only text. Many of the Google apps utilize white but do so in a less blinding way because everything is neatly organized in cards and there are still solid colors apparent throughout (Google Now, Currents, Books, Magazines, Music, etc). I would love if Android took on this look system wide (obviously I do not mean turning literally everything into cards but the way it's designed is really neat imo)

My 2013 Nexus 7 is nearly blinding at night even with blacks. Apparently the screen brightness cannot go as low as some screens. I really wouldn't mind having more whites though, since I don't use it at night much.

Well i think it would resemble Googles apps like their play apps. Google play could use a bump, the homescreen is a mess. Gmail could use a face lift too. I do expect a more whiter look, maybe some more transparency, and tabbed app drawer that you can customize. Like instead of Apps | Widgets, you can have Main | Games | Emulators | Business | Widgets.
I'm still expecting the holo design, probably with more cards, defiantly whiter. Maybe Sense 5 style settings menu to make it look easier.

Imo Google now/currents/play store/messaging are all pretty blinding. It's just a lot of white... which is kind of annoying even in the day time. They should def include a "night" version of all of their apps and make them look like the android central app dark theme.
