KNOX Counter reset/Trade-up

I have an S4 that I recently unrooted. The KNOX counter is tripped. I'm going to trade it up and get an S7.

I'm wondering:

1. How can I reset my KNOX counter after my phone's been unrooted without having to root it again?

2. Is it safe to do a factory reset with CWM without root?

3. Will having a tripped KNOX counter matter in the trade-up in the first place (Doing the trade-up w/ Rogers)?

1. You can't, once tripped it's not reversible
2. Yes
3. You invalidated the warranty by tripping Knox but how it would be treated as a trade-in, I don't know.
