Most games in the market are temporarily free, accessible via Top Apps button. Pays to be on the mailing list.

Do you mean on the android market, or from the echo site?

If you follow the "top apps" shortcut that was pre-installed, it takes you to the page. Otherwise it is Kyocera Echo Apps. I am guessing that is right, I did not notice any coupon with the email.

FYI - I have not checked out the offerings lately, but a lot of the titles I see from the email were free before and required a game-portal-launcher thingy to run the game itself. I have never liked/trusted those kinds of hooks/delivery methods. At least Burn the Rope has other Market alternatives, I've not found Monkey Ball anywhere else though.

I have no idea if caution is called for, but one might want to consider the benefits of "free".

I got Sonic the Hedghog and Burn the rope, the whole thing is that you have to download and install G-Gee app in order to download and play the games, much like the Amazon app.

Since you have done it, I am curious, will the games not play if the G-Gee app is not installed? Does it seem like it is a "tracking" app at all? (Like you could tell, but I am wondering why it is necessary in the first place.)

I don't really want to have another market app if I can help it. I've got Burn the Rope from elsewhere and I am not convinced that Sonic is on par with ad-free Angry Birds and Highborn.
