lag moving from app to home screen

Hello Everyone

Just got my phone a few days ago - loving it so far, but I noticed that I and getting a lag when I go from an app, internet or even my calendar tomy home screen. I hit the home key and I get the htc screen, then "loading" for 2 or 3 seconds and then finally my home screen with the clock.

Is this normal?? My hubby has evo with sprint and his transitions are instantaneous.

P.s. just noticed that my battery is already orange and I charged this overnight and I've only been using for 2.5 h ours.

Make sure there aren't a bunch of apps running in the background....are you running a bunch of widgets?

have you rebooted your phone lately, sometimes this needs done.
