Knock on works no matter what launcher you use. Knock off won't work unless, as VW suggests you use Nova Prime and combine it with a free Screen Off app.

The original launcher proved to be 'laggy'. After moving to Nova, the phones responsiveness and battery life improved greatly. This is the first time I've seen a launcher make this much of a difference. I just can't believe they would release a phone with that bad of a performing launcher.

How much of a stutter/lag are you guys/gals seeing cause I don't think I have any on stock?? Is it like a second or 2 or 3 lag or jitter or what??

Stock launcher had a lot of lag for me switched to nova prime and is much better. You can still do knock off just have to tap in the notification bar

I tried a LG G3 in a O2 shops and Jesus the lag was insane! Clicking the drawer to it opening was a solid 2 seconds. Opening apps was ages and camera took 7 seconds. Don't know if its cause its got so much **** and demo features on though but a phone with 512mb of RAM felt faster!

Depending on what were doing, but usually a 1-3 second lag. I use an OG Moto X (G3 is my wife's) and it's smooth. As for the battery goes, she used to have to charge the phone by 3-4pm. Now she can go all day easily. Yesterday for an example, she worked all day, but she had 14 hours with just over an hour of SOT and the battery was at 80%. Huge improvement from before. And all I did was disable bloat and install Nova. I now feel confident that my wife will have all day battery on this phone now. I feel a lot better.

I also installed Nova on my OG X and there was little to nil improvements. Take that as you will.

Something was wrong with that phone, or someone had installed some app that was sucking up the CPU. Mine wasn't nearly that bad stock. There was lag, but it was minor.

Isn't the Google Now Launcher pretty light weight? Easy enough to get a hold of and try. I using it on all my phones, but for some reason switched to Nova Prime for my G3. Anything is better than LG stock.

The lag I'm experiencing is after unlocking, it takes about a second for the on-screen buttons to come up and then another half second for the screen to become responsive. Nothing like the lightning quick response of my old nexus 4. This is with Nova btw.

Anyone else experiencing this?
