The lag has been awful when trying to type on my edge. I've tried everything from cache cleaners etc. Finally found this tip and I can't believe how fast I can type with no lag in all apps!
So here it is if you have the same issue:
Go to Settings > About device and tap on Build number seven times. Go back to Settings and you should now see Developer options. Tap on it and you can set Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale down from 1 to 0.5 or even less.
