My thunderbolt seems to lag when I play any full feature film. I came from the fascinate and it never had any issues with the movies. Most of them are in avi format. I'm thinking of retiring this and waiting for stealth. Any ideas thanks

what file player are you using to watch those .avi's?

-curious b/c i'm going to move some Futurama/VentureBros over onto mine tonight and was gonna use Vplayer-

I have used the native one that HTC makes (which by the way, seems like crap). My fascinate played almost any file type I had whereas the HTC will not play the avi files. I downloaded QQPlayer and it plays the videos fine but still has the hint of lag. THe native HTC movie player has the same lag issues no matter what format the movie is in.

lag-in terms of audio & video syncing up---or lag with freezing up and needing to like buffer for the upcoming scenes?

sorry to prod--just curious as i'm going to try VPlayer tonight

Did you use the vplayer with any luck?? Jittery is the best way I can describe the way it plays the movies back. The are all in DVD quality. I'm not sure if this is an issue. I can't believe more people are not having this issue. I must be one of the only few that watches movies on my phone.. (doubt it)

sorry--was held up last night with family business. will transfer some files tonight and let you know how they play back. they're .avi's, though i may try to convert them soon to .flv's to save some room on my card (though 19GB's is pretty ample ha)

I'm having the same issues. I've tried playing the same movie using rockplayer, vplayer and the standard htc player. All three are having lag issues (almost like when you try to play a video game on a slow computer)

moved over about 45 .avi's onto SD card,

VPlayer==couldn't play any (just showed 00:00 of 00:00 time stamps)
ES File Explorer==successfully played
Video Player (stock)==successfully played

hm...peculiar.
