Landscape mode texting

So when I'm in landscape mode all that's seen is what you're typing. This isn't my preferred method of typing but when I'm watching a movie in landscape mode and receive a text, I'd like not to fumble my phone around. Anyone knows how to make it 50/50?

I realize your asking for something much simpler, but you're going to have to wait until T-Mobile pushes the multi window update.

Even with the multi screen what would I put on the top half? I understand the cool feature of the multi screen but will it allow me to just dissect the chat screen to be put on top? Not sure if that sounds comprehensible lol

Scratch that I read my original post and was unclear. What I mean by 50/50 is how it looks like if it was in portrait view. The keyboard on the bottom and chat screen on top. In landscape the keyboard just takes up the entire screen where you can no longer see the chat panel

With multi window in landscape (Video on left or right, messaging on other side) the keyboard is much smaller. I'll post a screenshot in a bit.

The keyboard can be moved around and I believe this only works with the stock Samsung keyboard.
