Laptop not connecting with P8

[AC Question]

I have connected my P8 with my laptop and downloaded Hisuite but I cannot get them to connect. In my device manager the us a HUAWEi driver missing and I tried to search online to update but it fails

Welcome to Android Central! HiSuite should have installed the latest USB drivers. When you connect and swipe down the notification panel, do you see a USB icon? If so, tap it and select MTP.

If you don't see it, then try a different cable.
