You have to try different option on each one you tap there , it be more experiment.I have the developer settings. I found that section. Is there any of those that would be a possible fix?
Weird you don't have the grid layout option.
Screenshot of this on my 4xl:
Ha! I just checked what you did, on my phone, and Hold for me was there as well. Thanks, RETG.Hold for Me suddenly appeared this afternoon when I went to check on a number of a recent call. Still no grid. Strange how this popped up. Sure could have used it on Tuesday.
4XL on Verizon, and I also have the grid.4xl on Verizon and I have both grid and hold for me.
Glad everything good nowAs far as car Bluetooth music functionality, Went into developer options and changed the AVRCP setting from 1.5 to 1.4. Restarted the phone. Went out and tried it in the truck, and everything went back to working like normal. All is good.
Had a chance today to try the Hold for Me feature and it worked up to me disconnecting the call.
Simple feature, just click on the hold for me message, and the phone goes silent. No more terrible music or sales ads while on hold; nothing. And since this was a call to HP computer, after an hour, I was able to jump in the GMC and head out and the phone still linked via bluetooth to the vehicle, so when driving it is connected and NO sound (great time to try and figure out where the rattles are coming from with silence). You have a screen on the phone that says you can go back to the call, just to check and then back to hold for me.
Since I had to run into a tire store, I just killed the call. Tomorrow I'll give it a try until someone at HP wakes up and comes to the phone; probably just to tell me they can't help me. But so far, I like this feature.
Excellent review! Thanks! Finally, got to use it to the point someone actually came and answered the call. Human that is! (NO HP, but another place so hold wasn't that long.)
Here are some screen shots of what to expect....
It is sort of spooky being on hold all this time and not ready to jump out of a window due to terrible music; music they use to hope you hang up or have a stroke. Or constant ads or statements telling you to use the internet, while you are on the internet and that is not working...etc.
So, back to the HOLD.
First screen you get is:
After you have heard the info on you will be placed on hold for the next assistant, operator, etc., just press, HOLD FOR ME
![]()
Now, while on hold this is what you will see:
You can press, RETURN TO CALL and go back to the previous screen and come back to this screen.

There is also a small block under the RETURN TO CALL box that shows what is happening on the call while on hold....notice it tells you, MUSIC IS PLAYING
This message is updated as sounds appear on the call on hold....
Two more examples

And if you do a pull down from the top to check out other things going on with the phone while on hold....

I will admit, I LOVE THIS FEATURE, and I'm not the type of guy to love anything other than humans (very few) and canines (almost all).![]()
