I was traveling when I got the update prompt. I did it and all my photos were gone. I thought they were erased. Now at home and I see that when I connect my phone to my computer it only shows the Internal shared storage, not the SD card.
How do I turn it on? I hope everything is there. Why would it do that?
Thank you.

On the phone, if you go to Settings>Storage, do you still see the SD card listed there? If you use a file manager app on the phone, can it read the SD?

Did you format the SD card as Internal or Portable Storage?

No to all questions. It just stopped being accessible. I do not know how it got turned off. Most things, like apps were on the SD card I thought, but they are still working. How can I turn it back on? Thanks.

Have you tried wiping the partition cache?

If you remove the card and insert it into another device or your computer, is it detected there? If not, the card probably got corrupted somehow during the update process.
