Late to the party!!

Hey everyone! I have been on vacation (I am actually still on vacation) I have been trying to catch up with it all but WOW there is so much to read and watch and I just don't have that much time right now.
I have a few questions and I am sorry if they have been asked, I just don't want to miss the boat

1) Should I wait for the unlocked 5G or not (and if why would be helpful too)
2) If I do pre-order I am not sure if I should turn in the S7 Active (works but a dog) the Note 8 or the Note 9. I am not sure the trade-in value makes or breaks my decision. As a back-up phone, I think I would be happy either way. I don't know that I need both the 8 and 9 as backups... Do you have an opinion?
3) Without doing a lot of research yet, are the best perks at Samsung, best buy or??
Any other info you want to throw my way. I am interested

1. Depends on where you live, how long you plan on keeping the phone, and how far your carrier is with their 5G network. It's gonna be a while before 5G is worth it in most areas, but YMMV
2. I would probably keep the Note 8 if you're going through Samsung. They're offering $600 trade in for the Note 9 as long as you're ordering the unlocked model.
3. Samsung is offering the best trade ins, but again, only if you're buying the unlocked model. You will get the $150 Samsung credit anywhere you preorder from.
