Does anyone notice their battery life is getting worse? I have been hearing reports that the Battery usage dominance switched to Android OS and causing a bad battery life.

See my rant in here about percentages in the battery usage list: http://forums.androidcentral.com/droid-bionic/139855-battery-use-after-update.html

Now, if your charge life is really seeming worse than before the update, are you using your phone a lot right now? How long has it been since you updated? There's a good chance you may not see improvements in battery life until after a couple power cycles, when the update (new kernal and all) has some time to settle. Might be a good idea to recalibrate your battery as well. I believe there ought to be some free market apps that will help you with that where you might not have to be rooted. Just some helpful ideas.

EDIT: Actually, since all you mentioned was the percentage of the OS, what exactly do you mean your battery life is worse? How long are you getting on a full charge? Standard or extended battery? On what kind of usage (light, heavy, moderate)? How does it compare to your batt life and usage before updating?

I have the Extended Battery for my Bionic, and after update 5.5.893.XT875 my Bionic is showing constant 90% usage for android system. After 12 hours of mostly idle use the phone is ready to be charged. Also I am still losing 3G connection sometimes up to 2 hours even after battery pull. I have also noticed my phone has rebooted itself 4 times in the last 15 hours.
