Latest Update killing battery

Is anyone else feeling the pain of a dead battery in less then 24hrs after the latest update? I use to get about 2 to 3 days before charges and now it is less then a day before the battery is completely drained.

I understand the latest fix was for the GPS. So to save my phone I need to shut off the GPS?

Its the new JI6 radio. You would have to flash the JI2 radio to fix it.

Pre and post update I have never been able to get more that 6 maybe 7 hours.

I have noticed the same issue of my battery draining down faster.

My battery is draining very quickly since the update. I used to be able to get a day out of it. now it'll drop 10-15 percent sitting on my desk for 10 minutes. I'm also getting many freezes since the update and trouble installing apps from the market.

I used to get about 18 hours or so of regular use before the update. Last night I used Kies to go ahead and update to the JI6, so I'll see how well I do over the next day or two and report back.

Pretty significant loss of battery life here as well. Put newly charged battery in at 5.30am and by 10am it was less than 50%. At what point can we take this thing back to T-Mobile for unacceptable battery life? It was weak before but now its ridiculous. I have 3 batteries, two phone wall chargers and a battery charger. I need em all now!! lol

I'm not seeing it. I do about 2 hours of calling by noon everyday, total about 3 hours daily. 20-30 emails, 10-20 texts, and Pandora while I drive (about 2-3 hours per day as well) I plug it in for about 30 min in the middle of the day, and by the time I get home at 5pm I'm at roughly 50-60 percent. Not too shabby.

The last update has killed my battery too, I use to be able to get at least 18 - 20 hours out of it. now fully charged, when I pull it off, battery minder says it will be dead in 8 hours, wtf?

Is there a good way to roll back?

I am experiencing the same problem with dead battery in 6 - 8 hours! This is bad!!!!!! I'm seriously thinking of going back to the Blackberry!

same here, my battery life stinks, got cut in half since the update.
+1 on the blackberry, I just wish tmo would get the torch.

My battery is about the same. I got about 15 hrs today (estimated from ~40% remaining after ~10hrs), but that's with using my GPS golf app for a few hours, and playing some Angry Birds.

hmm i just updated this morning at 8AM and now its 11AM and im already down to 65%? errr all its been doing was sitting on my night stand. at this rate, ill be dead by 5PM... wtf.

It was draining my battery faster also after the update. What I did to kind of cure the problem was to lower the display brightness and took the check mark off the box that automatically controlled the brightness. Now I have a full day of battery usage and still have about 30% left over at night.

yea, its been a few days since i updated. its gotten better and is close to normal now. its around 20-30% at the end of the day for me as well.
