I know there are a lot of complaints on the Google play store about this... Your not alone at least.

I haven't updated yet for this very reason.

Having the same issue. Plus the icons on notifications all come up with a generic Android robot. Not happy about this update.

I've sent an email to support (the support link in the Android Wear app's Play Store page) with details about the issue and details about which version of Android Wear I'm running, info about my phone and watch. I suggest everyone do the same thing. I know people are leaving 1-star reviews in the Play Store, but direct emails to their support team may be more helpful in them solving the issue.

EDIT: The support email just sends you an automated response to go to the support web site (https://support.google.com/androidwear/#topic=6056405). I used the "Contact Google" option to call them. While I was waiting for their call back, I thought I should probably try to reboot both my watch and my phone. They called back and at the same time my watch came back up and voice was working! Also notifications had the correct icon. So I told them about the issue and said they may want to update the Play Store description to mention rebooting if people have issues with the update.

So if you're having this issue, reboot both your phone and your watch. It worked for me! (hopefully it doesn't have any other issues).

FYI, I dont seem to have any issues with my Moto 360 since the latest update. I have a galaxy S4 and I was just able to set a timer just fine and notifications are ok. Lucky me!

My battery consumption seems high today. At 80% after 2.5 hours which at this rate would mean it would last only 12.5 hours. I have been averaging well above 20 hours a day before today. So starting to make me worried.

Latest update for me has made Wear unusable. Constant force close and restart of the Wear app. Using a Moto 360 with my OG Moto X.

make sure u have auto update off or it will update

My battery life has improved since I rebooted my phone and watch. So I think all is good now. Just remember, if you update and have issues try rebooting your phone and watch afterward.

I couldn't text last night from my moto360, I could reply though. After numerous reboots and removing/readding apps I gave up. I did however notice that the Google Play services and Android wear versions did not match up to what was on the phone. When I got up this morning I was able to text again (not a reply, a completely new text), when I checked Google Play Services was updated to 6.11. I think we just have to wait for the app/services to be pushed to the watch from the phone. Just be patient and see what happens. Plus all the articles I ran across relating to this update keep pointing to a major update, android wear 2.0, to be coming next week on the 15th.

I have noticed almost no difference at all with the update. I have no problems with voice recognition and no lockups or reboots. Battery life on the watch seems about the same. Phone battery life continues to be poor the with "Wear" app although it has improved some, now chewing through 0.8% per hour doing almost nothing instead of 1.34% per hour doing almost nothing. Not a big enough sample size yet to be sure that isn't just normal variance.

I've noticed a couple problems. I keep getting a popup on my watch to the effect of "Google services has stopped". Also, it no longer seems to connect to my phone. So, it isn't usable as is.

I had the same problem today the watch audio/speech woudnt work i unnistalled wear and reconnected /paired the 360 and its working now
