Embargos are the way the world works. The fact is, you can read 5 different reviews and get 5 different verdicts. Companies won't risk bad press before a product launch, and most big tech blogs that are privy to these sorts of things won't risk getting black balled in tech circle so they tend to stand by them. I'll be most major sites have a review already written up, just not published.

I have a feeling our day one preorder from google wont changed from "pending" to "processing" until the 20th.

edit: silly me. I didn't read the verge article and they did say it will be ship out on the 20th.

Yeah this is really unsatisfying. Why not Google just give the reviewers pre-launched handsets so that they can shed some more light on the handsets. Thank you.

I'm sure I saw in another thread that Verizon corporate stores are supposed to have demo Pixels for display today. Has anyone been to a store and seen them? I may go by one near me at lunch to see.
