Launcher has stopped/com.android.systemui has stopped

I have a NeuTab N7 Pro KitKat 4.4 Android tablet. Telling me that unfortunately, Launcher has stopped. I can't get into any apps or settings to try and fix whatever it may be because it is also telling me "the process com.android.systemui has stopped. I have been to numerous sites, youtube as well to get answers...nothing. I also would like to know how NOT to lose pics and contacts, etc., basically all my data. Will the sd card save all of my data? How do I save it? I have a USB cord that came with the tablet, and I have a computer, but have no idea how to save data that way. HELP!! :<

Welcome to Android Central! First, remove the SD card and reboot--a corrupt card can sometimes cause problems.

If that doesn't work, try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

The SD card is primarily for storage of media (photos, videos, music), and is sometimes used by apps for certain data storage. But media files typically have to be put there by you--most apps will use Internal Storage as their default storage location, unless you manually set it to be the SD card. So most of your data is probably not on the removable SD card.
