To those who have been beta testing the Android 12, I ask if there is anything in it, that would make me want to stop using Nova and go with the Android stock launcher instead? Thanks!

Nah nova still is better stock launcher gives you some added options with notifications.

I'm using Nova at the moment and have been for a while. I have several launchers that I swap around. I go back to the pixel launcher occasionally and quickly leave it as it just leaves me flat. Just not enough options, simple stuff like the top notification bar is one. I don't need that up there I'd rather have a cleaner look. I prefer to swipe down to see it. The baked in at a glance widget that cannot be moved is another although it seems to have separate issues at the moment. I like the new clocks that came out with Android 12 and they can be used with any launcher. I never got the logic behind having two clocks on the home screen on the pixel launcher. They give you these great widgets and yet you have a clock at the top in the notification bar, makes no sense to me. And you can't remove that clock either. A whole slew of other things that you cannot remove or change on the pixel launcher like the Google search bar is another. I just find it to be too annoying overall. I'd stick with Nova it's a much better launcher if you like options, you can even set it up like the pixel launcher only have the options, bonus! Keeping Nova and swap back to the pixel launcher once in awhile and you'll see why you're not using it.

Has anyone gotten the icon email/etc notifications to show up? Mine don't show for any email since upgrading to Android 12.
I went to the Nova settings and looks like everything is still setup to show them...hmmm..
Any help would be appreciated! :) TIA!

Have you checked to see if it still works when you use the Pixel Launcher? If not you should check, you should eliminate that possibility. My notifications all show on nova with no issue. I get the count on the email icon.

Thanks Cbreze. I switched over to Pixel Launcher but don't see them there either. Sorry, I never use the Pixel Launcher so if icon notifications are supposed to show up there too, they don't. I even sent an email to myself and nothing shows up.
Not the end of the world, but def liked seeing my Gmail/BlueMail/etc apps show icon badge counts :)

Have you checked your phone settings under notifications? Not Nova settings. Make sure those are set correctly.

I used to use Nova extensively on my tablet, but stock launcher on my phone (Samsung). I recently ditched Nova on my tablet and am now just with the stock launcher. Nova is nice and has some added features, but as time goes on I am finding it annoying to have to keep various 3rd party tools up to date and configured, in comparison to what is already included in stock Android (it has come a long way since earlier and pretty much has enough of what I need). For me, the added benefit of some of Nova's features just wasn't worth the effort anymore of having to keep it up to date.

Does Nova or any other launcher support pop up widgets like the old BlackBerry launcher did?

Android in general supports smart pop up view (at least my Samsung phone does), for which "...supported apps can send notifications that you can tap to expand pop up view..." (whatever that means). Something to do with multi windows I guess. I'am not sure if I've ever used it (I have it shut off for all my apps) or if that is like what you are referring about, and I came from a BlackBerry Z10 before my Samsung phone.

I'm not familiar with pop up view, googling it, seems it's a Samsung feature. Pop up widgets from the BlackBerry Launcher, you could swipe up on icon and it would open the corresponding widget without having to place said widget on the home screen permanently. It's super convenient, maybe another launcher will adopt it someday.
