Launcher or stock?

You can get the KK launcher. It has the Google Now in the leftmost screen and you can resize icons and grids.

For those of you using Nova Prime, does your stock Messaging app work for you? No luck for me.

I use Nova, but not the stock messenger. I prefer to use Google Messenger or EvolveSMS.

I am one of those weirdos that actually likes the LG skin on top of the standard Android UI, so yes, I'm rocking the stock launcher.

Stock launcher for now. I think LG's interface is tastefully done

I like the LG UI as well, but the stock launcher just doesn't allow me enough control. I love the updated Smart Bulletin and Iooooooove the new Smart Notice, but I just can't get the stock launcher to look how I want and be as efficient and productive as I want. I did at least try it out, though...for a day.

Using Nova Prime here and never noticed any problems with the stock messenger. Works for me.

I've surprised myself by using the stock launcher. I did use Nova for a few days, but I quite like the LG interface. Bizarrely, I also quite like the drop drown menu as opposed to the stock Lollipop version.

I am using Nova launcher prime. Works fine, imo, other than the slow refresh on unread count. But not a big deal

If you download the icons to your phone, you can change default icons by long pressing and releasing until you see the little "edit" graphic. Use that to change your icon using what you downloaded

When I do this it only gives me a very limited amount of icons to choose from. Is there an icon pack that is supported by the original launcher?

Bump...

Are there icon packs I can use with the stock launcher?? I found out how to customize the icons but it is only limited to the few LG icons preloaded into the phone...

You know, I was a big fan of the GNL on my Nexus 5, and downloaded it pretty much as soon as I got my G4. But after having spent a little bit of time with LG's stock launcher, I realized that the GNL app icons are just huge. I like having control of the size of the icons. I didn't think I'd actually do this, but I deleted the GNL and have stuck with stock for now. I will admit that I miss having the Now cards so readily available, but I'm starting to get into the practice of just using the long-press on the home button to access them.

Same here. I changed to Google launcher but went back to stock. The double knock to turn off on a blank space is just too good. My thumb can't reach the nav bar one handed on the Google launcher. Stock it is.

When you download it and hit the home button, it will ask you which app to use and it also has a check box to make it the default app. You can also go into LG G4 settings and change the default home screen.
