Launcher?

I know this topic resurfaces with every new phone release. I've been using Nova Prime for the past couple of years (Evie before that and Apex before that) and wonder if it's time to use One UI Home. Does it let you choose how many icons can be place across and down?

Hi, you would need the Good Lock app from galaxy store and use Home up module

I forgot about those apps. It seems simpler just to use Nova or is there an advantage using One UI Home?
I go back and forth but if you like the stock launcher and want more customization then Good Lock .

You are just like me. I've been using nova prime on my last 3 phones and every time I get a new one I say I'm just going to try the stock launcher which usually lasts less than a day before I switch back to nova. I was just having this thought yesterday as I was backing up my nova settings.

Nova does everything I need but I want to make sure I'm not missing something better with the current One UI Home.

In One UI 4.1 you can change the icon grid 4x5, 4x6, 5x5 and 5x6 without Goodlock. I think we all go through that period where we try to go back to stock. I found out how to use 3rd party icon packs with stock. The only thing that's stopping me now is 1 widget that I use that cannot resize. That's gonna keep me on Nova for now.

I've used Nova Prime however for my needs I find that Samsung One Ui ticks those even without Goodlock and it's various plug ins.

Each to their own. :)

I'd just recommend trying OneUI 4 to see if you like it. It's easy to change back to Nova Prime. I use both and just switch them from time to time.

I quit using launchers (Nova Prime) on the N20U and haven't looked back. Give it a try! I'm committed to learning all the changes for One UI 4.1 though. There's some tweaks I wanna get into.

I like Nova Prime because it works no matter what Android phone I have. Plus I have a lot of third party icons that I want to use.

Good Lock modes to "beautify" Samsung Ui are very good but I think Nova Launcher is much ahead, could say "in everything" so far .... otherwise I've been using Nova since its beginning in 2012

This is the reason I have used nova for years. There's still a lot of features you get with nova that you can't get with stock.

I don't think I've regularly used a launcher since my HTC U12+. I occasionally re-download Nova Prime, but don't use if for long.

I previously used Nova but now only use the default stock capabilities.

For me, it was just not worth the hassle anymore to keep a 3rd party app up to date, given that for me it no longer really adds much additional benefit.

I'm planning to use Nova for my S22U and switch my S20U to stock (so I can try it).

Then if I start liking stock I might switch my S22U too.

If stock would let me edit the folder icons on my home screen (to icons of my choosing) and use nesting folders then I might consider going back to stock from Nova, but until then...
