Launching apps with Google Now - Pandora Issue

Has anyone else noticed some apps won't launch with voice control? I am having trouble with Pandora specifically. I can launch android central just fine for example "Ok Google Now launch Android Central" - and bam, I am in the app. If I do the same and ask it to open Pandora it will not open even if you click on the app icon or wait for the timer to go all the way down.

Tried it on my Nexus 7 - same thing. No Pandora launching. Anyone else have this issue?

Mine used to work, but not today. It acts like its opening the app, but it doesn't go through for some reason.

Same issue here. There are a few apps that are like that. Also, for some reason if I say, "OK Google Now, Play Metallica". It only plays one song, Enter Sandman. When it's over, it replays again and again and again. I have EVERY Metallica song in my library. Strange.

i've encountered it with Pandora too. But for me it works about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time, it reads the wikipedia entry on Pandora. FWIW, the google now help shows an example of using "open [app name]" rather than "launch". But it has worked with "launch".

edit: this is of course in the car, in a loud enviornment, with the command given over bluetooth stereo.

If it were me I'd end up listening to it 3 times before I was like hey...

if you dont use google music, you could just say 'ok google now, play (song name)' and have it open in the pandora app. or say 'ok google now, open pandora'. note, i have a hacked/modified version of pandora, not the stock app.

PS - 'play pandora' doesnt work on my phone, but 'open pandora' does.

I almost posted this a week ago. I say "OK Google now. Play Pandora" it shows it's launching Pandora, but nothing ever happens. The bar moves across the screen and it just sits there.

Glad I have a car dock app. If I used the phone the way it was designed to be used in a car dock (voice commands only), I'd be without music. Not to mention it has a hard time understanding me in my car.

I'm trying to remember if this happened after the that update they pushed through the play store. Anyone notice this after the update?
