I know i will get a lot of flack for this...But i really want an iPhone 4 ...But im interested in keeping my evo.. Maybe use it as a navigation. My question is can i use the evo like an ipod touch and tether it off my iphone? Use google maps and other data functions?

Yes, Vzw iPhone will have 5 device hotspot capabilities.

Why would you want an iPhone?

EXACTLY!!!

lol

but to answer his question yeah you could use the EVO like an iPod touch... Would kind of defeat the purpose of it being a phone (not to mention Sprints plans are a heck of a lot cheaper than Verizon plans)

The phone has WiFi so you could access any hot sport from the phone with out a problem... It does not need to be hooked to Sprints Data to be used via WiFi.. and no clue why you would want to use the phone as your navigation (I don't think that will work since it is Assisted GPS meaning it uses the Cellular towers as well as GPS to navigate) I bought the car mount for my EVO thinking I would just replace my Garmin but even though the GPS on the EVO was nice the glass screen caused some glare issues and it just wasn't as good as the Garmin..... I don't even use my EVO car mount and went back to my Garmin after a week....

Lol itz not like this is suprising some people were going to switch to the iphone hope you enjoy IOS

This is odd, since many publications agree that the Evo is a better device than the iphone.

Keep in mind: the iphone 4 is still 7 months old, doesn't function over 4G (meaning you'll probably need wifi to use the front facing camera), and you'll have to pay extra (probably $20/month if Verizon keeps its current pricing) for any type of tethering. The only real advantage it has over the Evo is battery life.

Edit: And why pay $2-300 for a 7 month old device? If you really want an iphone, wait till June when you can actually get your money's worth.
